Evok Public Relations Account Executive The Evok Public Relations Account Executive handles day-to-day public relations activities for assigned clients, under the direction of the public relations director or CEO. The public relations account executive is expected to become fully familiar with products, markets and media in which assigned clients operate, in order to efficiently, effectively deal with clients' public relations needs. S/he is responsible for interpreting our client' s strategic marketing plan through public relations and publicity efforts, through writing and issuing press releases, holding press conferences, and placing feature stories, technical articles or position papers, among other methods. The public relations account executive is responsible for maintaining relationships with various publications editors and writers, influential bloggers and client industry web publishers to facilitate advantageous placement of articles and releases in the name of the agency's clients. Reports to the director of public relations or CEO.

Prepares public relations plans and budgets for assigned clients, in conjunction with the agency's overall marketing plans. Plans should be updated on a regular basis to ensure goals are being met.
Crafts and distributes press releases.
Develops PR promotions, campaigns and ideas.
"Tells the organization's story" using all appropriate media and communication channels.
Participates in the agency's new business pitches and presentations.
Generates and promotes ideas aimed at gaining support for client goals and policies from its target audiences.
Serves as an advocate for client businesses; builds and maintains positive relationships with the public.
Works with account service personnel and assigned PR account staff to develop publicity ideas for clients one month prior to the date of publication.
Briefs support staff, account services and media on current project activities.
Provides input to creative (as necessary), senior management and media regarding assigned clients and their projects.
Coordinates with relevant account service personnel to ensure account executives are up-to-date on current public relations activity for account executives' assigned accounts.
Oversees execution of approved programs.
Anticipates opportunities for existing clients.
Solicits new business when possible. Maintains a new business presentation current and ready for use.
Represents agency at industry functions. Promotes the agency at every opportunity.
Provides account director with month-end overview of clients' current activities, plans and future developments.
Informs account director immediately of any potential client problems (e.g., client/agency relations, budget over-expenditures, etc.).
Obtains approval from account director for all public relations plans, creative work, media plans and estimates (if required) at appropriate stages prior to client presentation.
Reviews meeting agendas with account director prior to client meetings.
Reviews print, TV and radio media daily; clips or copies all client-referenced video spots or articles. Client competitors and related industry news stories may be copied as well. Copies clippings and TV/radio spots for client and sends immediately, either via fax or mail.
Tapes client TV and radio programs (or hires professional taping firm to do so). Retains an agency copy. Client copies will be produced for client with proper materials and time charges billed gross to client.
Maintains current computer skills related to public relations department daily functions; notifies public relations director of necessary hardware/software upgrades or purchases, or training needs.
Participates in review and selection process for the requisition of public relations computer hardware and software purchases.
5 plus years as a PR Account Executive. Experience in travel and tourism is preferred.
