As an Associate Account Coordinator or Account Coordinator at Rockaway, employee must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Account support is required on day-to-day tasks, administration and logistics, pitching, written materials, reporting, securing media placements and achieving marketing goals.

•Report to immediate supervisor and upper management •Fully support immediate supervisor as needed as an assistant •Pitch and coordinate for broadcast, print, radio and online placements •Schedule conference calls, meetings, interviews, etc. •Photocopies, binding, printing, press kit assembly and administrative tasks in general •Research and build media lists •Update client database systems •Client written materials as needed •Research and properly manage use of editorial calendars •Implement social media initiatives for respective accounts, as needed or in tandem with Internal Communications Officer •Reports
Minimal professional experience in public relations with previous internship and/or industry training. Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism or related marketing field in-progress or complete. Demonstrate strong writing skills, knowledge of industry standards, hands-on events experience, deadline-oriented, and the willingness and ability to learn efficiently. Work effectively and collaborate with a range of senior-level and junior-level colleagues. Ability to perform core job duties that may include - on a regular basis - sitting, bending, stooping and standing for lengthy periods of time. Self-motivated and results-driven. This is an assistant position.
